Nominations are now being accepted for the 2019 American Humane Hero Dog Awards.  All dog owners are invited to nominate their heroic hound in seven categories: Law Enforcement Dogs, Military Dogs, Therapy Dogs, Service Dogs, Shelter Dogs, Search and Rescue Dogs, and Guide/Hearing Dogs. Pet owners and animal lovers are also invited to nominate their favorite animal caretakers for the Hero Veterinarian and Hero Veterinary Nurse Awards.  The nomination period ends on February 28th.  The finalists will be honored at the Hero Dog Awards Event, to be held at the Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles on October 5th.   More information about the 2019 American Humane Hero Dog Awards, including complete contest rules and entry information, can be obtained by visiting www.herodogawards.org
