Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis

Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis or ALS is known as Lou Gehrig’s disease. It’s a fatal neurodegenerative disease that attacks nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord.

Person with ALS Pat Dolan was diagnosed in July 2016. He says as a runner, he noticed symptoms a year before he was diagnosed, such as muscle twitching and severe cramping.

He intends on staying positive and active as much as he can.

Dolan talks about living with ALS on our public affairs show “Collage,” which airs this evening at seven on 88-5 HD-2, www.KSBR.org. “Collage” can also be heard anytime on www.Jazz885.org
