Mission Viejo will buy a golf course

The Mission Viejo City Council has agreed to purchase the Casta del Sol Golf Course from American Golf Corporation.

Mayor Greg Raths says the city will pay 13 million dollars for the property and will have American Golf manage it for three years.

He says escrow will close on the property in early December. 

The golf course property and open space behind it totals 108 acres.
