Pancreatic Cancer

More than 56-thousand Americans are diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer each year. That’s more than 150 people diagnosed each day.

Seventeen year Pancreatic Cancer survivor Roberta Luna had lost three family members from the deadly disease. And when she wasn’t feeling right she had demanded her doctors do some testing on her to determine if she had the disease. In 2002, blood work had revealed something suspicious, which led to a biopsy and then the diagnosis.

Luna immediately began treatment and has been able to keep the cancer from spreading to other parts of her body.

On November 16th, the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network will put on the Purplestride Orange County Walk to end Pancreatic Cancer at William Mason Regional Park in Irvine.

Luna, along with her husband Vic are the guests on our public affairs show “Collage” which airs this evening at seven. “Collage,” may also be heard anytime on-line on www.Jazz885.org
