Rep. Ted Lieu of California recovering after heart procedure

California Congressman Ted Lieu is recovering following surgery to implant a heart stent after he experienced chest pains. His office says Lieu was admitted to a hospital in Washington on the advice of the Capitol's attending physician. He had the procedure on Tuesday after a scan showed a partial blockage of an artery. Lieu is expected to be back at work next week. In the meantime, his office says, he plans to watch a lot of TV during his recovery. First elected in 2014, Lieu's district includes communities to the south and west of Los Angeles.
