San Clemente will seek hospital provider

San Clemente will try to once again have a hospital and emergency room.

San Clemente Mayor Pro Tem Laura Ferguson says the City Council has agreed to send out requests for proposals to see if any operators are interested in running hospital and emergency room services at the site of the closed Saddleback Memorialcare San Clemente hospital. The hospital has been closed for three and a half years.

She says so far there’s been no interest.
