San Clemente landslide causes road closure
The City of San Clemente has closed a portion of North El Camino Real, between Camino Capistrano and Avenida Pico due to a landslide that has compromised public safety in the area. The road will remain closed to all motorists, bicyclists and pedestrians until a geotechnical engineer can evaluate the severity and impact of the landslide.
Those heading south on Pacific Coast Highway are encouraged to use Camino Capistrano. Those heading north on El Camino Real are being asked to use Avenida Pico to the I-5 Freeway.
Closure updates will be posted on the city’s website www.San-Clemente.org
