3 killed in California plane crash identified
Authorities have identified three people who died when their plane crashed in the snowy Tehachapi Mountains in California.
The Kern County Sheriff's Office says those killed were 38-year-old Marina Villavicencio from Yorba Linda; 53-year-old Felipe Plascencia from Whittier and 74-year-old Ruben Piranian from Granada Hills.
The twin-engine Beechcraft was reported overdue Thursday on a flight from San Luis Obispo to Los Angeles.
Kern County authorities spotted the wreck on Saturday and retrieved the bodies over the weekend.
Much of the wreckage was under about 5 feet of snow.
Federal investigators are trying to determine the cause of the crash.
