Aliso Viejo residents invited to home security launch

Aliso Viejo residents may take advantage of a discount of home security devices provided with the help of the city and the video doorbell company Ring. The launch event is Thursday between 5:30 and 7:30 in the evening at the Town Center at the future Chipotle.

Mayor Ross Chun says the city is one of the first to partner with Ring. Under the program, the first 500 verified Aliso Viejo homeowners will receive a one hundred dollar promotional discount code toward the purchase of a Ring security device. Then afterwards, the city will encourage all residents to install the product at their homes for security purposes and or law enforcement.

He says homeowners will be given the option to allow the video from their devices be available to law enforcement.
