New Laguna Woods Dog Park may open in May

The construction of the Laguna Woods Dog Park relocation project is expected to be completed by the end of May.

Mayor Cynthia Conners says the park is located on Ridge Route on the northern edge of the city, next to the golf course. It sits on an easement closer to the golf course and away from homes.  Some residents had complained about noise coming from the old dog park, which may be used until the new one opens.

She says the new park has decorative fencing and special turf just for dogs to prevent their feet from getting burned.
