$3.6M in donations distributed to bar shooting survivors

Donations totaling $3.6 million have been distributed to family members of a dozen people killed in a mass shooting at a Southern California bar and those who escaped the scene.

The Ventura County Community Foundation says thousands of people from around the world have hosted fundraisers for victims or donated directly to the foundation.

The Los Angeles Times reports the funds were given to more than 200 people who lost loved ones in the November massacre at the Borderline Bar and Grill in Thousand Oaks. Survivors also received money.

Chief executive Vanessa Bechtel says the foundation is still collecting donations.
