LGBTQ-plus Compassionate Care

The private/non-profit Radiant Health Centers which provides compassionate care to the LGBTQ-plus community, sees five to six new patients with HIV infections each week.

Executive Director and CEO Phil Yaeger calls this an epidemic that can be stopped. The majority of patients are people younger than age 25 who were uncomfortable seeking medical care from their primary doctors.

He says Radiant Health Centers provides HIV testing and can help those diagnosed as HIV positive get effective treatment to quickly suppress the virus so it won’t be transmittable to other people.

Yaeger is the guest on our public affairs show “Collage” which airs this evening at seven. “Collage” may also be heard anytime on-line at www.Jazz885.org
