Suicide at Don Juan Avila Middle School

Counselors will be available today at Don Juan Avila Middle and Elementary schools in the Capistrano Unified School District in Aliso Viejo.

The Orange County Sheriff’s Department says the schools were closed yesterday after the discovery of a 13 year old boy who apparently took his own life at the middle school. Department Public Information Manager Carrie Braun says deputies were called to the school at 6:30 in the morning.

She says the death investigation continues.
