Ladera Ranch will have presentation on local businesses

The Ladera Ranch Civic Council tonight will learn more about businesses in the community and those in Rancho Mission Viejo.

Council Chair Stephanie Ramsey says a Ladera Ranch Chamber of Commerce representative will make a presentation about local businesses that also includes Rancho Mission Viejo.

She says even though sales tax dollars from the businesses in the community go to Orange County, it is possible the communities in the future could become one city, and therefore the sales tax dollars would stay put.

She wants the community to be ready with many businesses, so residents are encouraged to shop local.

Ramsey says to help connect residents to businesses, the Chamber has started a new event called “Ladera Night.” It’s on the second Friday of each month at the Mercantile West Center on the corner of Crown Valley and Antonio Parkway between four in the afternoon and eight in the evening. She says many businesses set up booths.

Tonight’s Civic Council meeting begins at seven at the Oak Knoll Clubhouse on O’Neill Drive.
