Ladera Ranch Civic Council will discuss traffic safety
The Ladera Ranch Civic Council tonight will talk about the death of an eight year old boy who was struck and killed last Monday while riding his bicycle in the community.
Council Chair Stephanie Ramsey says the accident remains under investigation.
She says the Council will discuss how to increase awareness of drivers. And a California Highway Patrol officer as well as an Orange County Sheriff’s Department deputy will attend the meeting to answer questions.
She says the Council has talked about having a safe driving campaign in the community, as well having a bicycle and pedestrian safety program within Ladera Ranch schools.
Ramsey says at the same time, the Council will try to educate visitors who come into the community, such delivery drivers, that there are a lot of kids who live in Ladera Ranch.
Tonight’s Civic Council meeting begins at seven at the Oak Knoll Clubhouse at 28192 O’Neill Drive.
