Misbehaving Uber passengers face ban
If you act up in an Uber, the ride-hailing site may have you locked out. The company says starting today, riders who have driver-provided ratings significantly below average could lose their ability to ride. Before riders get booted, they’ll get schooling. Uber says unruly riders will be sent tips on things like being polite, not leaving trash behind and demanding that a driver violate the speed limit. If multiple attempts to rehab riders fail, the passengers can be barred from the site. It’s a case of what’s good for the driver is good for the rider; Uber already expects drivers to meet a minimum rating, based on what their passengers have to say.
