Google and Antitrust Issues

Of course, everyone knows Google is the go-to place to search out information online. But the tech giant also deals with a number of other endeavors, such as online ads, email messaging, operating systems for smartphones and tablets _ and video. And while that’s good for Google and its fans, it’s something U.S. antitrust officials are giving the side-eye to these days. Several news reports say the U.S. Justice Department is looking into whether Google’s business interests run afoul of antitrust rules. The increased scrutiny in the U.S. comes as several governments around the world are looking to curb power-dominating tech firms like Google, Amazon and Facebook.
