Relay For Life South Orange County
Saturday, in Mission Viejo, the 24 hour Relay for Life South Orange County will occur at the Oso Viejo Community Park. It starts at nine in the morning.
The event is among 25-hundred Relay for Life events scheduled each year around the country to raise money for cancer research.
Co-organizer Laguna Hills High School senior Nick Hassas had lost a grandmother and grandfather to cancer and his aunt is a breast cancer survivor. He says he got involved with the Relay for Life because he doesn’t want cancer to impact anyone else in their lives. And as a high school student he figured the best way to meet the goal is to raise funds for cancer research.
He says Saturday’s event is on track to raise 250-thousand dollars.
He, along with event Co-organizer Aliso Niguel High School senior Ronak Naik are the guests on our public affairs show “Collage” which airs this evening at seven. “Collage” may also be heard anytime on-line on www.Jazz885.org
