Lake Forest Councilmember will step down

The Lake Forest City Council will have to decide how to pick a replacement for one of its own.

Councilmember Leah Basile has announced she will step down because her family will be moving out of the City.

She was elected to the City Council in 2016.

She says she was honored to be elected to the Council and is pleased with the work she’s done in a short amount of time.

She says her accomplishments include getting term limits on the ballot, creating the Traffic and Parking Commission and supporting the creation of the HOA Roundtable.

The Council meets again Sept. 3rd.
