San Clemente supports permanent pickleball courts

San Gregorian Park in San Clemente will eventually have permanent pickleball courts.

San Clemente City Council member Laura Ferguson says in front of a standing room only audience, the Council agreed to have the city allocate funds for the permanent courts. And a pickleball group has agreed to donate $3500 to the project.

Ferguson says pickleball players in the city have been using tennis courts at various parks.

Pickleball is a game resembling tennis in which players use paddles to hit a perforated ball over a net.
