Sunday Farmers Market to reopen in San Clemente

The San Clemente Sunday Farmers Market will reopen in a new location this weekend. The morning market will be held in the San Clemente Community Center and Library parking lot for the duration of the Coronavirus crisis.

City officials say the market is an essential service and the temporary move allows for new safety measures to protect both shoppers and vendors. The market will have one central entry point and up to 50 shoppers will be allowed inside at one time. Other safety measures include a ban on samples and all produce being pre-packaged by the farmers.

Shoppers must maintain at least six feet of social distance and should wash all produce and shopping bags after getting home.
