About the Host

"El Ray" is a Southern California native that truly embodies the spirit of 20th Century "KOOLSVILLE". At a young age he had his ear to the speakers and used his brain like a sponge to soak up what he considered the "real" Rock n" Roll. In 1978 his parents purchased the album KISS ALIVE II for him and the floodgates were open. "El Ray" went punk in 1984 like half of the KISS fans went and from there started picking up some of the more weird and bizarre tunes. Later on in life "El Ray" became the vocalist for two different Punk bands, Smogtown (1995-20014) and Gross Polluter (2018-2022). He's a hell of a promoter so look out for Gan Can Radio T-shirts and stickers.
