Beginning on Thursday Oct 17, the 19th Annual Haunted Trails returns to Laguna Niguel for three days. Enjoy a scary, spooktacular walk in the evening, through the Haunted Trails at the Crown Valley Park. The dearly departed staff welcomes you to your room, which has been prepared at the Eternal Rest Hotel. Dare if you will, to go through the old abandoned remains.

Here at Saddleback College on Friday, October 18, at 11:00am, the Kinesiology department will host a United Basketball Game, in the gym. This event is popular with the Special Olympics and Saddleback College is one of the first colleges to pilot such a game. It features 8 Saddleback College basketball players with 12 adapted, kinesiology students and the community is invited to cheer them on.

On Friday October 18, the Japanese Fair returns to Costa Mesa. Grab your friends and celebrate one of the largest, Japanese cultural festivals in Southern California. Learn about culture, and enjoy performances, a cosplay show, and see the Kimono models, plus more!
Silverado Days, in Buena Park celebrate 63 years of good times, beginning on Friday Oct 18 through Sunday the 20th. Enjoy, a World Amateur Arm-Wrestling Championship and an Amateur Horseshoe Contest plus the first American Corn Hole Tournament! Participate in a Pie-Eating Contest or the Chili Cook-off. Show off your best at the Hog Calling, Baby Contest, Men's Leg Contest or the Dog Show. There will also be a car show, live music, games, prizes and much, more!
Celebrate the Halloween Harvest Festival on Saturday October 19 in Huntington Beach from 11-2pm. Come dressed in your Halloween costumes and enjoy carnival games, a pumpkin carving artist, and festive, spooky tunes.

Bring the family down to Doheny State Beach for a fun evening of Halloween festivities at the Doheney State Beach Halloween Haunt, on Saturday October 19 from 6:30-8:30pm. Enjoy a ‘Spooky Walk’, educational craft booths, and indulge in Halloween treats. Support the food drive by bringing a can or box of food, for donation to a local food bank.

On Saturday, October 19th from 3pm to 9pm, OC's biggest and best Diwali Celebration will be held at the Great Park in Irvine from 3-9pm. Celebrate this year's "Festival of Lights," and see great musical and dance performances; and enjoy authentic Indian food.

On Saturday October 19 from 11 to 5, Southern California Adventure Expo will be held in San Juan Capistrano. It features outdoor adventure products, demos and displays. Check out the mountain bike and ebike group rides and camping equipment. See the modified adventure vehicles/trucks/vans and off-road accessories or challenge yourself on the climbing wall.
On Sunday October 20, from noon-4:00pm People and Paws for our state Park will be hosting Woofstock! This community extravaganza celebrates dogs and their owners, at Doheney State Beach, in Dana Point. Bring Fido and join in the dog and owners’ parade and the costume contest. Visit with dog rescue groups and see doggie demos. Plus enjoy live music, crafts and games.
