Irvine City Council-Agendas

The Irvine City Council is moving in the direction of allowing more time for people to view agendas before regular meetings.

City Public Affairs and Communications Director Craig Reem says the Council approved the first of two required votes on the proposed “Irvine Sunshine Ordinance” which expands the number of days to post the agendas to 12 days, from the current five days and the state law required three days.

He says by having the agendas posted longer would provide more time for interested parties to ask questions or provide comments at Council meetings.

He says the City Council is expected to give final approval to the ordinance next month.
