Tax Security Awareness

The Internal Revenue Service is partnering with the Better Business Bureau to put on a free community event Wednesday in Mission Viejo on how to protect identities and tax data in advance of the 2019 tax filing season.

IRS spokesman Raphael Tulino says a panel of experts will be on hand at the Mission Viejo City Hall between nine and 11 in the morning to discuss how to be careful about disclosing personal information.

Tulino says Wednesday’s event is being put on in support of National Tax Security Awareness Week.

He says registration is preferred by going on-line and searching Orange County Security Summit.  Otherwise walk-ins are allowed.
