Laguna Niguel 30th Anniversary Celebration

Laguna Niguel became a city on Dec. 1 1989.

Next year marks its 30th Anniversary.

City Manager Kristine Ridge says the City Council tonight will discuss ways to have a year- long celebration which includes doing so at existing city events like Saturday’s annual holiday parade, the summer concert series and the Halloween Haunted Trails. The city intends on having one big anniversary event at the end of next year.

She says staff tonight will be looking for Council direction and that includes the selection of a logo to be part of branding and marketing opportunities.

Tonight’s City Council meeting begins at seven.
