Aliso Viejo partners with Ring.Com

The Aliso Viejo City Council has approved a reimbursement partnership program with Ring.com to enable residents to purchase the doorbells.

Mayor Dave Harrington says under the program, Ring.com will provide a 50 dollar discount to the first 500 residents, and the city will match it with another 50 dollars.

He says the program will be rolled out at a public safety event on February 7 at Town Center.

Harrington says the Council voted in favor of the program because the device helped solve a case involving the sexual assault of a deaf woman on one of the city’s trails.  The suspect had later assaulted a victim at a home that had the Ring. com device and from the device’s video, police were able to identify the man and arrest him.
