Dana Point gets ready to host Festival of Whales

Dana Point puts on its 48th annual Festival of Whales Mar. 2 & 3 and again Mar. 9 and 10.

All kinds of activities are scheduled in and around the Dana Point Harbor in celebration of the annual migration of the California gray whales past the scenic cliffs of Dana Point. Activities include whale watching, art shows, car shows and entertainment.

Festival Coordinator Andrea Swayne says seeing whales is an emotional experience that is difficult to describe. She encourages everyone to go on whale watching trips to see them.

Swayne says information on the Festival of Whales can be accessed www.Festivalofwhales.com

She’s the guest on our public affairs show “Collage,” which airs this evening at seven. “Collage” may also be heard anytime on-line www.Jazz-885.org
