Child Abuse Prevention

Child abuse can be prevented when individuals seek help through various resources.

The Raise Foundation is dedicated to stopping the cycle of abuse through education, advocacy, community collaboration and comprehensive services for families and children. Executive Director Eldon Baber says those needing help may turn to Family Resource Centers that are located across Orange County. They may connect families with basic needs such as food and shelter. They also offer parenting classes, counseling and family programs.

Baber says the majority of child abuse cases in Orange County are the result of neglect, not physical abuse.
