Ladera Ranch Civic Council to discuss traffic safety

The Ladera Ranch Civic Council tonight will again discuss how to improve traffic safety after the tragic death of boy who was hit by a car.

Council Chair Stephanie Ramsey says a new safety awareness program will be launched for pedestrians and cyclists to “stop, look, obey and wave,” when approaching intersections.

She says the idea is pedestrians and cyclists need to make eye contact with the driver and wave, to insure both parties are aware of each other before proceeding on the street.

Tonight’s Civic Council begins at seven at the Oak Knoll Clubhouse at 28192 O’Neill Drive.
