National Association of People Against Bullying
Every seven minutes, a child is bullied. Bullied children are more likely to take drugs while their tormentors suffer stress as adults. The National Association of People Against Bullying tries to bring about a positive resolution between bullies and their victims. It also supports anti-bullying clubs known as Cool 2 Be Kind Chapters.
San Clemente High School Cool 2 Be Kind President Esther Mafouta has noticed the clubs inspire a positive change because members who witness bullying often speak up for the victims.
She says studies show bullying is reduced by over 50 percent on campuses, where students begin anti-bullying clubs.
Mafouta along with National Association of People Against Bullying founder Anna Mendez are the guests on our public affairs show “Collage,” which airs this evening at seven. “Collage” may also be heard anytime on-line www.Jazz885.org.
